Default what crank is better?

which one is better a 4340 or a 4140 crank and why? also how much power can a 5140 crank hold?

waht crank type holds the most power?

a 43040 forge piece is the strongest crank you can get, besides a bilett crank

The 43040 forging is stronger than the others.

A 5140 can hold good power depending on the rest of the setup. Good Bolts, rods etc.

We of course like the 4340 material! I agree that the CROWER crankshaft is definitantly one of the BETTER cranks,We also think that as far as a inexpensive crank like the EAGLE crank.How much power are you putting out.That would be helpful to know!Callies cranks are great also,but it really depends on how much you want to spend.GM'S 5140 cranks were good up to 600hp or so!Hope that helps!

it is a scat crank i was truing to get info and the rods are scat h-beam w/ ross flat top racing pistons and for a 420sbc that will have the bottle on it

Specifically, what motor are we talking about here? sbc, LT1, LS1, BBC, other?

if you can afford it a non twist oliver is the best way to go

4340 is probably the best but they will break before they will flex.

I might be a bit nervous of spraying the Scat too hard.
