Default Which blower?

Ok well it cant be a roots blower because of the egr valve would be in the way and I need to have that on my car for it to be street legal... stupid north carolina emission laws.. ...so Im looking at the diffrent companys that make the centrifugal ones... anyone got any complaints, props, etc. to give about them in general or specific brand, and boost to run? It will go on a 355 chevy engine with 8.5 compression, cant remember the cam off hand. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I would have to go ahead and say procharger. I've heard a lot of good things about them and it seems that many people run them. Other people might say otherwise so just wait to hear what others say. I'd say procharger though .

If going Centrifugal definatly go Pro Charger, I have one on my 79 Z28 I am about to go Turbo with it though. Is it carbed or fuel injected?

I have a 1977 Corvette in the project car section of my website that we installed an ATI ProCharger D-1SC on. Check it out if you get a chance. Bob

I'd also say Procharger. A shop close to me just did one on a friend's 400 SBC carb'd application, and the install turned out very clean, and put down another 150+ rwhp at 11 psi at the wheels. Definately

Yea, as far as centrifugal blowers go, I'd say the Procharger is definately the most popular.

Going with a Blow Through type on a carb don't skimp on the Fuel System...also takes a pretty trick carb to work well with blow through. I gained 42 rwhp just upgrading the fuel system at the same boost level on my D1SC. Shooting for at least 800hp going to the turbo from the pro charger....only time will tell.

What kind of carb are you running? Yeah I was thinking of going with a aeromotive fuel system with a D1SC when I got it. Id like to make around 600rwhp.... anymore hp is welcome too of course
