Sbc Motor Help?? hey guys im almost done on taking off all the old components off my 350 and was just wondering how much hp i can get out of it with these new parts.? 
hmm got the edelbrock perf. intake, 600cfm carb, accel distributor, rebuilt stock heads/motor, and a fresh 700-r4 tranny..?? i have a stock rear end amd wanted to know if i can make it posi?? will it be a good idea? just want a descent car motor for a third gen camaro which is what i have and would it be on..please tell me cause i really want to finish it already!! thanks

Your biggest HP gains will come from the cam and heads being used.
What style of head are you planning to use?
The Vortec head combo is a great bang for the buck.
The GM Hot Cam is a hydraulic roller with 218/228 at .050, and on my
engine (350 with ported vortecs) it performs quite well.
Good torque and with 13 inches of vacuum at idle, you can still run power brakes with no problems.
