3rd gen dual exhaust
I dont know where to put this topic I got a 1992 Z28 soon I will install Hedman LT and Im thinking of making it dual exhaust currently it got Magna flow cat back and I dont know if I should switch to dual exhaust or stay the same way,who got dual exhaust on his 3rd gen or 4th gen and what mufflers are you using? My Z28 is 350ci TPI with March pulleys,MSD wires and Blaster coil,TB bypass, smog pump deleted along with catalytic converter, timing gear, tranny cooler, shift kit and 3.73 so should I go dual exhaust? what mufflers do you suggest if I go dual exhaust?

Personally I say not to limit your already precious ground clearance. Go with a properly built y-pipe setup instead as it will support just as much as a properly designed dual setup will.
Some even think that a proper y merge will create a better scavaging effect than an x (best you can get for duals) pipe will. Plus the flowmaster y (about the best you can get) is CHEAP from Jegs. I paid under $70 shipped for mine.

I found this muffler in Summit I think I will go with them http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku the thing that made me interested in them is "Wild sounding muffler with just the right noise, a deep, throaty sound, similar to the muscle cars from the early 70's" so what do you think?

i have 3" duals bullets on my 86'. i notched and boxed the subrame along the tranny tunnel so it tucks the pipes up in very nicely. i'm taking off the bullets though and putting borla xr1 on it. the bullets are a little to loud for my liking.

WAS a 383 with dart 230 cc heads, custom grind comp cams roller, hooker super comp headers, RPM air gap, 750 holley. Now, i pulled it because of the damn oil pressure acting funny. I think it is a cam bearing. So now i just installed a L98 from a 87 TA just to drive my car. The truck sucks on gas so i had to do something. Glad you like it.

I have tru duals on my 87 trans am with dynomax headers and dual 2-1/2" piping
with no cats or AIR. I have glasspack mufflers and its somewhat quiet at idle but still noticeable when I get on it though you wouldn't think I even had mufflers.
