Default Fuel Return Line

Hey all while I am new to this amazing forum, I am not new to forum discussions.

The question I have is i recently updated to a mechanical holly fuel pump (80 gph), from the stock pump on a stock 290HP crate motor, the motor is in a 1983 chevrolet c-10 and the stock pump had a return line running from that but the new pump did not have a place to hook one up so i just clamped a bolt in the hose to stop it up.

Is this the correct way to go about this or should i use another aproach?

btw: it seems to run fine

As long as you block it off it will be fine.
