Default Looking for a motor...along with some help in SC

Im located in Aiken, SC. Im a full time college student on a budget but lookin to build my first motor. I worked at a shop all summer and part of the school year and i'm looking to do my first build/motor swap. My dad has done a lot of sbc builds and swaps but thats much different then an ls application. So basically if anyone has any deals to offer that would get me going with my build that would be great. also if anyone has done this before and is willing to supply some knowlege on the build it would really be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot

Do a stock LQ9 motor with L92 heads/LS3 intake. With a decent cam it'll make 470-490rwhp and all the TQ you need w/ 4:11 gears.

yeah i hear that. I think i may actually get a factory rebuilt ls1 and just do a top in build on it. that way i can afford to put it in much sooner. it would be much cheaper and i wont have to modify suspension for an iron block.
