Talking New best at Greer with a 100 shot!

Just got back. Had a great time. The car ran crappy on motor again so I decided to concentrate on the 100 shot. The spray came on about at the 60 ft mark lookin at the 60fts proves it. I think the best it could do was a 1.74. I was slipping the clutch out every time. She has some more in it when I spray off the line but scared it would break and I had no way home if it did. So here are the times on a 100 shot with spraying at the 60 ft mark.

60 ft / ET / mph
1.74 / 7.117 / 101.294
1.722 / 7.093 / 101.022
1.764 / 7.127 / 100.406 (tried spraying off the line but she wouln't hook, spun and walked all down the track.)

If you were hooking up you would be in the 6s no problem! I bet that was a hand full to hold on to. It looked wild from the line. BTW, it looked like you raised those front tires a bit too. I was behind you so it is hard to tell but it looked like they came up off the ground!

Thanks. Not sure if they came up or not I was too busy steering. They car will run 6's now if I let the air down on the tires and dropped the clutch but it also might have ended up sittin there, so I wussed out. Maybe next time. It will when I get the new gear in it. I had fun on the way home too!

It might be time to bolt up the new ET drags in the basement now. Not sure why but when I was drying her off and the right rear was way down. I wonder if I moved the tires on the wheels some? That 7.09 pass hooked. I think I was spining on the rest. I never got that good pull feel on any other passes but the 7.09 one.

Have you marked your wheels? Take a marker and mark the tire and wheel, then when your done at the track next time you can look to see if the marks still line up to determine if you spun on the wheel.

Yeh, I know. I have never had that problem before but might now. My dads Drags are bolted to the rim so I might have them mounted on my prostars. Thanks for the advise.

I also have jets for the 150 shot but don't think my fuel pump will love me anymore. That would get my in the 6's. Heck if I tried speed shifting it might run alittle better.

I wish I had my stuff fixed. I would really like to see what my car would do with a sticky tire.

Steve, that is a great time knowing you have more in it. These LS1's sure do love that ****.

Thanks. Maybe I can change it like you do everytime to the track. Mine will have to wait though. I did get a hole in the rear tire about the size of a pin. Time to order some new tires. I am glad it wasn't too big and I made it home on it.

Thats about the best psi My ET Strrets liked on my car. Any lower and it was like I threw out a boat anchor. The next time I go to Jackson I'm gonna drag you down there with me. Gain a tenth or more just by traction. Congrats man, put those drags on!!
