BR St. Judes Poker Run 8/19/06
Get On It Racing is putting on a poker run to benefit St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital of Memphis, TN. The date is August 19th from 11am to 1 pm, beginning at the Tanger outlet mall in Gonzales, LA. Here is a flyer with the details, the stops are Gonzales/ BR based for the most part.
I know there are ton's of charity events out there to benefit St. Judes, but the truth of the matter is, they can use every penny. Without their efforts, I would not be here today. It's been 14 years, and I'm greatful.

I have a friend who's Grand Daughter is there right now, 3 years old & has Lukemia, he has nothing but great things to say about the facilities there & says the Doctors are great. They need all the donations they can get, I'm kind of far away, but that sounds like it may be a good excuse to take a road trip on one of the bikes.

POKER RUN IS TOMORROW!!!!
hiccup: registration has been moved from Tanger due to a problem. its now at a place called Davies Engineering, which is also on Hwy 30 in Gonz (same exit as Tanger Outlet Center). It's across the street from St.Elizabeth's Hospital.
There will still be someone at Tanger to re-direct those that show up there.

I'd like to personally thank everyone that made the event a success. All of the sponsors, all of the stops (THUNDER RACING had fun all day from what i heard), all of the people both members of this club and some there weren't that helped, and of course all the people that came out to donate their time and money for a great cause.
The event was a success, especially for the first year. 39 people registered to play, and we had quite a few people just donate money.
So far we've got right at $900 for St.Jude's. I've still got a little sponsorship money left to collect and I'm selling the leftover shirts (L, XL, 2XL) for $10/ea. I will post up in a week or two with the final amount we managed to raise for the kids.
Once again, thanks to everyone that helped and I can't wait for next year. Although next year we're gunna wait for some cooler weather....
Also, just so everyone here knows: a GTO won, despite the mustang crowd that showed up
