Default Bought a redline

So I broke down (tired of my beater) and bought something a little nicer and faster then what I've been driving around in, found an 04' ion redline for $14,000 at the local saturn dealer with 30,000 miles on it, electron blue. I fell in love. It feels pretty quick, they dyno ~220 whp stock, so I'm sure its good for low-mid 14s at least. Interior is real nice and the recaro seats rock! A lot quieter then the z28, so quiet I cant even tell when to shift by listening to the engine... so that's got to change. All in all very pleased with my purchase so far. Let the mods begin

And old steve - I couldn't make it out this weekend. Wife started a new job and all sorts of other BS came up hated to miss the show. Be up there in Oct though for sure.

I sat in one of those at one of the AJC Auto Shows. Awesome sitting car. I've always liked saturns for some reason...

Sounds like a cool car. We did tons of testing on Cobalt SS 2.0 SC motors a few months back. Infact I have a header for you and a pulley I think. We will never use it again. I had my personal Cobalt SS up to 280FWHP so there is potential there for you to tap. All in all they are fun cars for the price. Good luck if you need any motor ideas shoot me a PM I have already done all the R&D.

Mike - Details on the header/pulley? What are you asking for them.

Low 14s @ 98-101 with a good driver and track. Similar to an LT1 Z28 timewise, but they have a lot more traction issues. From a roll the car's beastly.

GM makes a "stage 2" kit that adds an honest 30 whp for $600. (Pulley, tune, 7k limiter, and injectors). Stage 2 is good for mid 13s.

Just like any supercharged car, its easy to add power. Just turn up the boost and fuel. The motors are stout.

OH, and 32mpg highway
