Competition Engines in Birmingham. Talk to Tommy. I don't have the number right now and I don't know how many LSx engines they've done but they do most all the Pro-Mod guys engines around here. Were talking 10's of thousands of dollars in those engines. I have not had good luck with ANY other machine shops in the area and I've been fooling with them for the past 14 years. Use Tommy or order a preassembled engine from one of the sponsors here. You will be money WAY AHEAD!!!!

Oh ok well anyways i know of a machine shop in Trussville that is pretty good. The name of the business is Engine Rebuilders and their right on highway 11.

If you know where Paine Elementary school is then engine rebuilders is just right down the road.

noone here seems to really know anything about these machine shops (in tuscaloosa)... there are several though in the phone book, but i hate to recommend any because none of the guys I know have ever used them. Most have used ones in the bham area for their late model stuff.

Neither have I. He is a great machinist and have seen some amazing engines from him but Ive seen that the more money you spend($12000+) the better job he does. I have used Northport for the last 10 years.
