clutch problem's please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i put a new clutch in my car now it has a vibration that it didnt have before the clutch install.the car drives fine down the road like it should and the clutch operates good.the problem is that above 3500 u can fell a vibration it feels like u r driveing down a back road that is pretty rough.it dosent matter if the car is moving or in gear. if u just rev the engine up to higher rpm it will start to vibrate.like something is out of balance.i have never heard of a clutch coming out of balance but hey who know .it could also be the flywheel i had it turned.my guess is that it is the clutch, preasure plate, or flywheel.ever heard of a problem like this before, or have any ideas. i will be more then willing to try.

Did you do the break in period on the new clutch? If not maybe it is slipping? That the only thing I could think of. I know when I had mine first installed it chattered real bad from take off for the first 1 to 200 miles. I have a spec 3+.

well that is what i thought it was to .but what has me stumped is it vibrates even when its in neutral parked.so i am out of idea's.i was hopeing that it was grease on the flywheel causeing the clutch slipping.but it has gone away a little since i have driven it.i need to have it gone by middle or end of next week because there is a guy comeing to get it from miami fl and i live 30 west of 6 flags in ga

well i think i might have figured out what the problem is.on the lt1 cars it turns out the flywheel is off balanced from the factory.so when u replace the clutch u are suppoed to line the clutch up with an x on the flywheel.i didnt know this so it is off balance.i will post if it fixes the car when i get a chance to get to it.i also found out that the ls1 cars do not have this problem. because you are supposed have the clutch and flywheel neutral balanced.i thought some of u could use that info to keep u from haveing my problem.

take it to a machine shop and have it zero balanced, then install it. When you install it make sure it is 100% cleaned with brake cleaner. use a torque wrench to torque the flywheel down and to torque the pressure plate bolts. That way the cluch assembly has even pressure throughout itself.

I have done several as well on Lt cars and never had that issue either. Oh well. I say get the pressure plate balanced as well. There never right from the factory.
