Default Exhaust shops in southeast LA (true dual peeps check in!!!)

I have a major delima on my hands here....apparently. I just put a set of headers on the Z, and I' m trying to run true duals in 3" tubing. The local muffler shops here in Houma are telling me there isn' t enough room for a muffler on the driver' s side because of the torque arm. Can anyone tell me of a shop that would find this project a feasible task around Baton Rouge or New Orleans? Thanks in advance!

If you run bullets then there should be no problem with clearance..

If I measured correctly, and if the tubing is 3 inches...I' ll have like 2.5" of clearance at my lowest point. I just looked at it on a lift, and found a good place to mount the driver' s side muffler....hugging the torque arm. Passenger' s side won' t be ****! The lowest point of the headers, is 3 3/4".

Try calling Supreme Muffler just off of Clearview in Metairie. I had them do a custom exhaust on my 71 vette and they did a great job. They work on a lot of old cars and custom stuff.

Thanks for the tip! I' m gonna try one more time locally, if it don' t work, I gotta do, what I gotta do, right? I think I' ll be going down to 2.5", and they just have to transition the tubing to mate up, and also build a custom X-pipe.

Man I have 3" true duals with 2 full size dynomax mufflers. Where your floor pans are for the back seat.........take a rubber mallet and pound them in. It will leave a perfect compartment for a full size muffler. Also it raises the bottom of your seat a little in the back and its alot more comfortable to an adult(kids never noticed). Its very easy to do and clearance is no problem.

Why not just run a 2 in/2 out single muffler on the passenger side?

Ok, the ONLY car I' ve seen with KB style SFC's, and it' s a single muffler car. And to answer your question....I already have the mufflers.

On another note, when did you sell the car circus midget? I didn' t think you' d ever part with it!

Well then get rid of your shitty mufflers and get a REAL muffller, douche bag.

That pic was old, but it was the oly one I had that showed the exhaust.
With the traveling for wotk that I do, I am only home one weekend a month and the car was just sitting there rotting away. I hated to see that and I was paying $1800.00 yr insurance on it.
I sold it to SAR2K.

I' ve decided to go with 2 1/2" for now, just to get the car on the road. I may use this method, if I ever do some REAL mods, and bump the power level a bit more.

They do custom exhaust work at Futral??

Well, I finally found a shop in Houma to do it, and it looks really good. As soon as I can get the Z on the lift, I' ll get some pics.
