Default Memphis Motorsports Park - 11/15/07

Is anyone going for the last race day of the season?

I'll be there!

White Z28 on chrome V6 rims and unpainted Sunoco hood.

Mods:
Pacesetter LTs
Pacesetter ORY
Dynomax Bullet
SLP lid

Stock street tires and the crappy 2.73 gears got my car to a 1.95 60ft and a 1/4 ET of 12.7 @ 109mph.

I'm hoping with gears, stall, tune, and some drag radials I could get real close to 11s or might break into it.

wish my et was close to urs, but those big *** rims are holding me back. i ran a 13.7 and my 60ft was still in th 2.2s. i guess thats not bad for a first timer and 19 inch rims. im definitely gonna get some drag radials and a couple of more mods.

Yahelou, I got to see your car last night. Thats a good looking car man! I never was too sure about the big wheels, but they look awesome on your car. I couldn't get my car too hook very well. Got a new best cause of the cool air, but should've been quicker. Anyways, ended up with a 10.940 @ 121.62. Got a better 60' on the second run with a 1.46, and ran a 6.908 1/8mile, but hit revlimiter from 2-3 once and ran a 10.959.....damnit. If you seen my car, I hope you didn't notice that it was absolutly filthy...lol. Daing trailer.

thanks man. i love those rims, but they do hold u back. but im gonna grab some drag radials for the next season and hopefully get some better 60 ft times and a better e/t. but then again yesterday was my first time ever at the track. i think i did see ur car. dont worry about the dirty car, my car was filthy too. too bad i didnt get to see matts car, he went too early in the day. i wish i could get into the 10s. thats what i want to do eventually. what kind of mods do u got?

Drag radials aren't going to help...lighter rims will I am getting 1.95 60ft times on street tires. I put drag radials on my old Z28 that ran about the same time as this one and those DRs slowed it down!

With our cars being stock stall and 2.73 gears, the drag radials are just going to hurt your time.

That's cool. The heavy wheels are definatly not helping. When my car was a 2:73 car, it would dead hook no matter what....street or track...lol. I would say the wheels are going to help, but like Jetlag said, the sticky tire might hurt ya alittle. I'd say get some gear for that thing, those 2:73's are killin ya. As far as mods on my car, it's pretty much a cam-only 6ltr, stock long block, just bought it and stuck my cam in it. Got alittle converter in there too....lol. Got alot more detailed on my fquick, just click my sig. 10's aren't that hard to get to, just depends on what route you're wanting to take.
