Default Grill cover help for nostils and heat extractors...

Just wondering what you guys do with your grill covers? The nostil ones on the Firehawk hood, and the heat extractor grills, and even the side grills? Mine are all faded and white looking and I don't know how to take them off or if I even should. How are they stuck on? I wanted to get them a sort of "black chrome" color and think it would look real nice on a black hawk. Also do they see these anywhere by any chance? Thanks in advance guys.

slponline.com for replacements.
They are held on with double-sided tape.

But he doesn't make the matching heat extractors because of the curve in them, ...

Thanks guys, I've already started looking into them. For those prices from SLP I may just warm 'em up, pull 'em off and powder coat/touch up myself. All I should need is a good double sided tape from an auto body shop or such to re-install correct?

Yea, but find some good 3M or other brand name stuff tho. Most auto-part/paint stores who supply paint & product to body shops should have something available. You can probably save some of the stuff that you remove to take in for a sample.

Do all the grilles come off by heating them up and removing them, then just stuck in using adhesive tape? I'd like to take them out and either powder coat or paint in black chrome (if that's even an option-paint?) since that would look sweet on this hawk. But if I'm going to do this I want to do them all. I need not replace them if I can do this. Thanks for any other opinions guys.

Basically can I do this to take em off by peeling them off and just paint 'em? Someone on here said theirs had clips holding them on. That must be for LT1 cars.

Default grilles

I just did mine yesterday. They were in pretty bad shape. im broke so I did a quick fix. Just pulled them off the car, cleaned them up and put 4 coats of chrome spray paint on them. I did the heat extracters and the grilles in the hood. It looks pretty good. Paint cost me $3 and $9 for tape.

Double sided adhesive tape you used right? Where'd you get it, just a local auto body shop or something? Do they come off and go on ok? I'd hate to break em taking them off. Thanks dude.
