Thanks... The exhaust consists of Grots Headers, Y-pipe, into single 3inch exit, with dual 2.5 tips... no muffler, so its kind of loud.... basically I had this done, because original owner cut the exhaust off in the middle of the car before I bought it... apparently it had a cutout and nice catback that he wanted before he sold it to me... so I had to have this done until I can get some proper exhaust. Some people like the single, dual tips exit, I'm not sure about it...

Thats awesome, no muffler, I bet its loud. IMO, I think it looks good, it may throw a few people off at first, they might think its a V-6, until you get on it. I'm thinking of removing my muffler and just putting the LM1 exhaust from over the axle to the back, basically all 3" pipe with the dual/dual tips but no muffler to quiet it down.
Good stuff you got there though, hopefully a cam is in the works.

I def. want to do something different soon, as its to loud for my GF... lol... as for the Cam, the car is already built...TR224 cam, and many other supporting mods... the car dynoed around 410hp.... and has run 11.5 at Beech Bend in Bowling Green, KY. I will prob get a LM exhaust system as well... or I might go stock with an electrical cut-out...
FYI, WS6 'verts didn't get the 17" rims until '98. So 16" rims would be correct for a '97 WS6 'vert.

There is an SLP 2 OTL exahust for sale on here, he's asking $300 for it.
Great exhaust and sounds tame at first and just awesome at WOT. I have a 3rd gen 2 OTL on mine and only lost 2hp on the dyno vs. open cut-out. Cut-outs are great for the strip but sound like crap IMO. I can send you the guys name if your interested.

The story I heard was that initially, GM felt that the 'vert structure didn't handle the stiffer WS6 suspension / wheel combo that was being used on the coupes, so they maintained the standard T/A 'vert suspension / wheel combo on WS6 'verts. Then improvements in assembly methods that started in the '98 MY (better adhesives, increased welds, etc) improved the 'vert's structure enough GM went w/ the full upgraded WS6 suspension / wheel combo on the 'vert models. I read this in either C&D or MuscleCar Review.
I believe the same was true for SS (i.e.: '96-'97 SS 'verts retained standard Z28 suspension / 16" wheels, then were upgraded in '98). Its difficult to confirm this through RPO searching, GM installed N96 16" rims on all the '96-'97 SS cars prior to delivery to SLP and the 17" rims SLP swapped didn't show up on the RPO "build sheet". Interestingly, '96-'97 WS6 coupes received N66 17" rims while the '97 WS6 'verts received 16" P05 chrome rims. So it appears that '96-'97 WS6s got their rims at the St. Therese plant, while '96-'97 SSs got their rims swapped by SLP. From '98 on, all SS & WS6 cars got their 17" rims installed at the St. Therese plant.
