Default Factory Five GTM

I had the HONOR to help a good friend of mine take delivery of his new Factory Five GTM today. I'm so ready to tear into this thing. Car came with an 02 vette donor car that he will be parting out very soon so keep an eye on the classified boards if you need something. This thing is awesome and I will post as many pics of the build as I can supply. The last pic is us saying goodbye to his Shelby

#1 GTM and Vette arrive

#3 The Donor

#4 The GTM in pieces

So did the donor car come from Factory 5 too? That's a pretty cool deal if it did.

Nice Cobra by the way!

I built the cobra about 3 years ago. It was a vortech supercharged 5.0 with 420rwhp. If was a blast to drive as it weighed 2250lbs. Here is a couple pic's of it.

The gtm kit with ac and options was right at $23,000. The vette was purchased from a place that sells wrecked vettes. It was $6,700. I traded my cobra for both of them. The guy that had bought both the cars never got a chance to work on it. He did not even open the boxes. So he figured this way he could get a car he could drive and I got to build something else. As cool as the cobra was I enjoy the build as much as anything. Thanks, Kris

Some more pic's and a video..

after I primered and painted it

getting ready for paint.

test fitting the body, I hande made the dash from african babinga wood veneer.

Me pulling the motor for rebuilding, getting it ready for boost!!

they are very cool cars with a ton of power. If you plan on tracking this car - be prepared to tighten up the rear end - they do tend to get a little squirley.
