Wheels?
I was just wondering if anyone can give me some more info about the Cragar S/S wheels on the HRE camaro for sale in this post. I think they are sick looking on the camaro and I want to purchase a set but can not find out what style, size, offset, width , etc. I don't even know if they are steel or aluminum? I mean it sucks what's going on with GMMG so I can not even call Matt and ask him. So I am just throwing this out there to see if maybe by some chance someone knows a Cragar part # or some where I can buy a set . Plus it looks like Jim is the man to ask about this stuff And if I had the cash I would pick up this car in a heart beat its only going to increase in value. good luck with the sale Jim.

Thanks for the info that really sucks , figures i finally find a wheel I like and its no longer made great. So that also means everyone with a HRE camaro can never get a replacement wheel god forbid something happens , that don't make sense.

'02 GMMG Berger Hot Rod Edition #1975
Matt and I went together several years back and had a quanity of these made as people were wanting them after they saw them on the ZL-1 SuperCar and the Hot Rod Magazine Camaro. The guy that had originally made them for Matt was in California and the wheels were actually made in China. Matt and I had to put in a large order to have them re-made and then Matt and I split the order.
To answer some of your questions.....................the offset on the 17x9" wheels was a +.32 and the offset on the 18X9" wheels was a +.36. They were a chromed aluminum wheel. They were actually a Bullit wheel with a Cragar S/S center cap. Matt and I both sold all of these wheels and DemonSS here on this website bought the very last set I had to put on his 4th Gen Camaro.
You know the old saying..................................snooze.... .......you loose.
I wish I could help you but I can't. I'm not in the automotive business anymore and Matt is impossible to get ahold of. I DON'T BELIEVE that he has any of these wheels left anymore but even the guy that had these re-manufactured for us "disappeared" too.
Anyway, here are some pic's of the cars that my shop put them on when I owned the shop:
And I even was lucky enough to get a set of these:
And last but not least.......................I have the same wheels on my 2002 Phase II ZL-1 SuperCar.

The Hot Rod Magazine cars came with 17's FRONT & REAR.
Here are some pictures the day that my half of the wheel order was delivered to me. They delivered several pallets on that truck. The pictures below only show a couple of pallets as my guys had already put most of the wheels up before I took most of these pictures:

That's neat. I didn't realize that. We actually got a set for our '01 Berger. I believe it was one of the last sets Matt had. I think they look great.
Do you know how similar these are to the 17x9 American Racing Torq Thrust Ms? To me, the look very similar.
Thanks

Hey Steve. Hope is all is well with you too out on the west coast ! ! ! ! !
Don't be a stranger ! ! ! ! ! !
Kinda of playing with the idea of going to the Berger Chevy Show this fall in Grand Rapids. Any chance you might come? Maybe I could convince Daytona Jim to bring one of his cars and come too.
