Default 2000 ws6

hey guys. I'm thinking about buying a gorgeous 1999 ws6 with 80K on it... only problem is it auto... it needs new rims (ill probably need tires too) because they are bent and ill need a mass airflow sensor. how much should i be paying for it? they want 5000$ i was thinking 4000-4500 with those problems.

heres the link to the ad on craigslist: http://worcester.craigslist.org/cto/2829986745.html

advising would be great guys--- should i go lower than 5000?

thanks guys

KILLA-KES ...hard to speculate on that as you have not posted any picture's. paint condition, color, interior in what shape...wheels and rims are not that bad, check to see if the headlight motors work, power window motors as well. drive it and listen for any rear-end sounds, bearings going bad perhaps....make sure the tranny is good as you drive it, don't just step on it, drive it and make sure it goes into every gear without any problem...check wiper motors they are notoriously bad on firebirds for some reason...

also check under hood and inside oil cap, as sometimes moisture accumulates inside and could be a stuffed up pcv line or bad head gasket...just make sure everything works as 80,000 miles is not a lot for a 12 year old car....

see i own a late 2000 WS6 and kind of know what to look for, black on black auto. i'd have to say if everything checks out ok $5000 is a great price IF the car is in reasonable shape...good luck and try and post some pic's...

i should have read the entire post...sorry, kinda hard to drive one of these with a bad M.A.F sensor...also check to see if the screen has been removed...could be the problem.

Looks to be a cloned WS6 because those wheels appear to be the 16" chrome wheels the regular trans ams got

beautiful car, cloned or not...would speak to the owner and find out if indeed it is a WS6...just check the inside of the driver's door for the code WS6...either way, it is a steal in my book for $5000...you can get better parts for it then the original WS6 had...good luck, and keep us posted...
