Default Any one ever heard of this SS?

I found this SS on ebay. I know about the GMMG Dale Earnhardt cars, but I have never heard of any other "limited edition" Dale Earnhardt SS's. Is this real or is this guy full of it?

I like the seats and a 10k price tag. The engine is dirty though.

$10,000.00 is just the starting bid. I am sure he wants more than that. I like the seats as well, I just have never heard of this and wonder if it is a real production car or what.

The red pinstripe has to go. It's FUGLY. Pinstripes are very 80's.

It's not a GMMG car I don't think. They did the Intimidator SS's in 01. This is a 99.

Way! lol. 381hp at the crank is a real possibility with the LS1. We know they are underrated from the factory. If he put down 304.80wrhp, and you do the 20% drivetrain loss that would get you 381 at the crank. My 99 SS put down 307.8 on a 98 degree day with humidity in the 80% range with just a lid and loud mouth cat-back.

Let's face, horse power ratings are a little subjective anyway. The difference in dyno machines can vary quite a bit and let's say we rated the LS1 like they did in the old days, on a engine stand with no accessories to bog it down, what would the mighty LS1 really put out at the CRANK!

I have heard and seen those cars. GMMG did a build on them for DE Chevy. This one does not seem to fit the mold of what GMMG put out for 02. Maybe this was a first run type car back in the day. I would have suspected to see the DE white face gagues and some badges inside, but did not from the pictures. The DE did have 381hp, and you are correct it was at the crank.
