Need proof for 98-02 WS6's I have a bet with a guy that says the WS6 formulas came from the St. Therese plant with the WS6 hood and all. I am pretty sure that the conversion for all 98-02 WS6 cars were done at ASC. Where can I get proof of where the WS6 cars were done? Thanks |
There have been several articles in published magazines (although I can't cite them OTOMH) stating that ASC did the WS6 conversions starting in '98 (SLP did WS6s in '96-'97). WS6 cars came from St. Therese with the wheels, exhaust and suspension already installed, all ASC did was paint and swap hoods, install the raised airbox / lid and put the WS6 badge on the back bumper, then shipped the cars back to St. Therese for final assy / QA. Don't know what kind of "proof" you'll need to win the bet, but this is all well known fact. |
You can go to www.ls1.com and Look in the 4th gen forum I believe and theres a sticky in there from a guy that works at ASC. He can give you proof that they were converted there |

Thanks guys. I got a copy of the article in the November 2001 PHP magazine that tells all about it. |
