About the LS1 valvesprings, can I reuse stock lock and retainers and is it ok for 918 spring replacement??
I ordered a belt tensioner already, so if you can answer this fast enough, I could combine shipping on both...

I wish I had some extra money to assemble an engine now as you'd have my LS7 oil pump and I'd be buying those billet mains.

Yes, on an LS1/LS6 they can be used with stock retainers. Specs are very close to Comp 918s.
