Is there a possibility for a GP on this? The front inlet can be blocked off and use the stock front air inlet in undesirable weather couldn't you? It looks like a great product, but the price will be the determining factor as there are used cold air kits available pretty often.Let us know. TIA.

I see you guys copied my design!

You can take it from the originator of this scoop! I have driven in the rain for about 100+ miles and my air cleaner was totally dry.

Re: LMPerformance announces the new Supersucker Ram Air Kit!
Has anyone here actually tried one of these or know anyone who has? I am hoping to be the LS1tech test pilot for this system to truely see how effective it is. As you guys know , I am an active bracket racer so any HP adders show themeselves in big way. I don't use the butt-o-meter for calculations since I have HRP so close. I'll keep you posted if it happens. Here's a TTT.

Re: LMPerformance announces the new Supersucker Ram Air Kit!
We shipped a bunch of Supersuckers to LM Performance on thursday the 25th. They should be there tomorrow the 31st. For the person who had a question about the Supersucker working with the Stealth box. I've never seen one, but if the radiator support(air filter tray) is the same as the factory one underneath it, there shouldn't be a problem.
2000 Camaro SS, I've never heard of you or seen your website till tonight, so don't think I stole your idea. Besides, mine does look that much like yours. I guess innovative people think alike.

But I can tell you I went to the track last week end and took a few temp reading with a laser temp gauge.
The scoop temp was at 102 to 111 degrees. The intake of the motor was around 180 or so the motor was 220 the headers where 340 at the collectors.
What am I getting at? There is colder air interring the intake than with just the stock SS scoop.
The colder the air coming in the more HP.
I bend my Torque arm before I could get all of the bugs worked out and find out all of the benafits of the scoop. I can tell you I'm keeping mine on!
Others wanting a little more that what FTRA offers should look into this. Think about it going 121 MPH cramming cooler air into the motor will do nothing but help.

2000CamaroSS, No problem. Hey did you make it up to St. Paul for the Car Craft Summer Nationals?
We just sent out one to TXCAMMSS, he should be getting it early next week. Hopefully he will be able to post some results soon.

LM Performance had a GP going for $229. I'm not sure if this is still in effect.

I'm sure the results will be on the good side.

Re: LMPerformance announces the new Supersucker Ram Air Kit!
Hey guys , I got the Super Sucker installed and track tested. I must say that I am impressed with the results. I gained 2 mph on the top end over my highly modded SS hood scoop. The kit was easy to install and it definitely increased my air intake flow. I actually had my foam block off plate to the air box get forced up into my SS hood inlet. When they say Ram air.....they mean it. I was going to fab up a cold air system , but I would have spent serious time trying to duplicate the positive effects that I gained from this piece and lord knows what it would have looked like. I can't wait for the cold dry air to get here.

Would this product work if I had ground effects on the car? I have Wings West kit with the lower air dam but the car is pretty low would much air be getting in there?
