Default auto window down

what makes the motor shut off?
i put a new motor in (summit cheapo) and now it just keeps running til i tap UP.

so is it internal on the motor? or in the regulator? like grounds out or something?

anyone?

inside the motor is a circuit that when the motor creates enough strain the circuit trips and stops the motor. Similar to how a turn signal relay works.

^^ I was going to say the same. It feels the resistance and shuts off.

autolock sells auto down/up kits that use some kind of relay or something. you could look into getting something like that maybe. i really wish both windows were auto down and auto up anyways.

Your motor internals are bad. AutoZone sells new units (that look different from the OEM motor) that are supposed to be sealed better, last longer, and come with a lifetime warranty.

maybe its a remanufactured unit? I and others have had issues in the past with the remans. I assume that some of them just re-wind the motor and keep in the bad thermal switch.
