They make HID kits. I want to switch to HID's but I'm not sure which ones to go with

i went with a kit from LEDGauges.com it is pricier than other kits you may find but i got low beam, high beam, and fog lights and it is night and day difference.
and it cost a little more cause they are quality kits, very small ballasts, and housings for the lights fit perfect.

this is just low beams and fog lights on all pictures sorry some pictures are fuzzy its a new camera and i did not have it on the right setting......whatcha think about the difference?

Show cutoffs. If there is not a good cutoff, they are dangerous and illegal. If there is a good cutoff, they are only illegal but not dangerous if you install them correctly.

yea, my friends dad sells them at his tint shop, and he has them in all of his family's vehicles. they look really good, and project very well in my opinion.

i'll probably be getting from some from him soon.

Research on www.hidplanet.com. The short answer is you shouldn't be doing this. It's never legal, and it's a lot more work than one of these low-quality kits if you want it to be safe.

they took a total of about 90 minutes for low,high, and foglights with half of that time being spent on just the foglights. kinda hard to get my big hands back there.
the pics are the first night i put them and yes people were flashin me on my way to work but after i adjusted them i have not been flashed once now that they are properly done. wow someone sounds like a bitch, "its illegal" please, so are 99% of all mods done to cars but if done in taste then you will not get hassled. i work next door to a police station and cops see my car almost everynight, not one officer has said anything to me and thats them seeing my car from every angle possible. i would without a doubt do it again it is night and day difference not to mention makes the car look many years newer with the white lights compared to the stock yellow.

HID should not be put into Halogen Reflector housings. Your pics are a perfect example of why. The resulting beam pattern in your pics is basically a high beam. Aiming them down is not an appropriate solution to the problem since you are sacrificing distance vision (which is half the reason for getting HID in the first place). This has been discussed plenty of times, but apparently some people don't care. BTW, yes it is illegal and it rates a bit higher than off-road exhaust.
