Default recommend a stereo noob a system

Okay what i got so far are the speakers for the doors and the rear quarters. What I need now is head unit, 2 10inch subs (already have a custom box for the hatch) amp or amps ? and what ever else I need.
So what would you recommend, I think I'm going to keep a $500-$800 limit.
Now the music I listen to consist of heavy metal, some punk like avenged sevenfold, atreyu, breaking benjamin. I dont need a system that will wake the whole neighborhood, but it doesnt hurt to have a little extra when ya need it

Well I have had nothing but great experience with my kicker cvr 12. I run it in a custom sealed box with a MTX 400w rms amp. I'm using sony 5.5 coaxial speakers up front of the stock amp and stock bose in the sail panels. For a head unit I'm going to be buying the Alpine CDA 9884. Check it out its nice.

Default Eclipse

I went with the Eclipse CD3200 head unit. Its about 300.00 and Rockford Fosgate amps. It was quite a bit more than 500.00 bucks though. I think the Punch 300 for the single 10" sub was around 200.00 and the P400 for my speakers was around 400.00 bucks. I put the sub in a stealth box from Subthump and used an amp rack. Very happy with the sound.
