Short answer is yes. I was one of the few that needed spacers. Ian Kee sells the spacers. I made them myself out of MDF. From what Ian said it is a very small % that need the spacers. The hole spacing for the mounting screws is slightly different than stock. I just drilled new holes and used new sheet metal screws to secure mine.

Kicker is loud but not made for SQ. Check out etronics.com they have some good deals on subs.

JL doesn't authorize any "online" sales except for crutchfield. So buy some JL equipment from a "non authorized" dealer and see what happens if you blow the speaker... nothing because you don't have a factory warranty. Now that's a thought that makes me all warm inside!

That would be fine if it was a unconditional warranty, but most aren't.
If you damage a sub under warranty and it doesn't fit within the allowable conditions, then your still SOL!

Guess how I know?

I am assuming that you are talking about leaving a wrench or some **** in your trunk and it puts a hole through the sub? Am I getting close? Maybe forgot to wire up one of the voicecoils? Tell me when I am getting warm...

All crap, at least when it comes to drivers. Kicker and MTX both make decent amps. Audiobahn doesn't make anything decent.

its funny you say kicker is crap when they make some of the best subs available. have you not heard of the L7 solobaric line? if you havent, maybe you should take a look and see what quality is. im from stillwater, oklahoma where kicker was all started and will always stand behind them. they make great subs, mids and highs, as well as amps to push anything you have. but i guess your entitled to your own opinion.

yeah in my opinion kicker is the best. I think they hold some kind of decibel record or some thing for the loudest bass
