Default Humount faceplace: Caution with RCA cables

Hey guys. I just wanted to let you know about a situation I encountered with my Humount. I had it installed with an Alpine CDA-9847. The RCA cables for the deck are on the left hand side. I used cables with straight connectors originally and it was fine for over 2 years. Because the Humount moves the deck further into the dash, the RCA cables mash against the back of the dash. I just installed a new amp and was wondering why I had no sound from the front speakers. Pulled it apart and found that over time the RCA cables were damaged from being jammed in so tightly. Dont know if this is an issue with non alpine decks or not. Now I have to tear everything apart and run a new cable. PITA. So If you are installing one of these, pick up some 90 degree adapters or cables with a 90 deg end. On my Alpine deck I had to trim off a little bit of the rib on the heat sink to get this to work.
