Default Mounting of Subthump amp rack

Well mine was put in the back with just a couple of screws and it has fallen now.

So here was my plan!

Get a 12" drill bit, hold that sucker in place (after I take the tail lights out) and bore a hole on each side through the wood and metal at the back. Put a proper length bolt through from the outside with a nut on the inside of the metal, slide the amp rack on and use two fancy nuts to hold it in place. Of course I would seal the bolt and all. This way I could take it out if need be and it will never fall again.

Thoughts?

Anyone? I want to just drill through this sucker. Anyone have thoughts on doing it this way?

I don't see a problem as long as you use some washers, and seal it up good!
Go for it !
