Default volt/amp switch question

I'm installing a nitrous kit and I'm using a SPDT switch from radio shack for a WOT switch. It's rated 5 amps at 250V. The problem is, all my connections are good but it doesn't work. I can jump across it and it works, but the switch does nothing. Will this switch not work in an automotive application for some reason, or could it be a bad switch? Thanks in advance.

Here's a link to what it is:
