Default What Speakers?

Right now my stereo setup consists of:

Pioneer 7600-MP Head Unit
2 500 watt Rockford Fosgate Amps (one for speakers, one for sub)
1 10" Rockford Fosgate Punch Sub
4 (2 front, 2 rear) Cerwin Vega? Speakers

What speakers would you guys recommend? The ones i have are blown and i can't play my music loud anymore. Any good speakers that arent going to break the bank? Thanks

I've just started getting back into car stereo stuff and have always liked the sound/price of Kicker speakers...I only have the 4 speaker set up and use the 6 3/4 and 6 1/2 Kickers...I only run a Sony head unit with no amp for now, but they will easily expand with my system when I install amps and a sub...Just dont want to add too much weight...

What's your budget, what size speakers do you need and what tye of music do you listen to?

You can get speakers anywhere from $50 to $5,000. It's a big variable.

Not exactly sure on the size but i believe that they are 6 x 6 speakers. I listen to just about everything. Mostly rock, rap and country though. Not really sure on the budget. Depends on what you guys would consider to be the best bang for the buck

the 97 interior should be the same as 98+ so he should need components, not coaxials (though i believe the 96- ones also had components too but not sure.) anyways, i'd say polks are A LOT better with voices then kickers. i compared the 2 side by side at circuit city. i'd go with polks if you are on a tight budget. you can get their component set for about $110 on amazon and you cant really get anything quality for any cheaper.

Kicker is crap. I need more information to recommend anything. I do like Polk for a budget option. I usually recommend Ebay for stuff.

I do like that PRS set a lot but it's too deep for us I think. It was one I had been considering getting.

Two speakers per side (one 6 .5" woofer and a tweeter) so 4 speakers in total.

Similiar to a coaxel except the tweeter is seperate and not attached to the woofer.

This seems like some sort of joke. Am I missing something? Because Kicker uses an outdated motor design that has a very limited excursion potential, both for subwoofers and regular drivers, and they all sound like crap.

so i would need to order one "set" for the front speakers, and another "set" for the rear speakers? Am i understanding this correctly? I know the tweeters go in the a-pillar in the front but i didnt think there was any tweeters in the back

^ in the A pillar? they should be right beside the mids in the door. there should be two grills in the door a big one more sideways and a small one pointed more up on top.

and yes the rear is a 4" component set, although 4" speakers are worthless so i custom installed 6.5s.
