Default Finished Installing My new HU and HUmount!! pics!

So I finished installing the whole thing last night and I'm very pleased with how well it came out! It looks good, I was worried about changing the stock HU but with it all together it flows very nicely. The all Red illumination is very awesome. Just thought I'd show it off!

that price does need to come down a bit. it's rough when the price of the mount is about the same as a new radio w/free install.

Hey do you have all the necessary items for installing the HU to our car.. Meaning what wiring harness do i need? and anyother misc stuff?

Do you still have the Alpin HU goign thru your original speakers? If so how does it all sound?

Also what model # is that Alpine HU?

Did you need a head unit installation kit as well as the HUMount? I'm installing mine right now and I don't see how the HUMount will be sufficient to hold the deck in there without some sort of other bracket propping the deck up in the back.

From what I could make out on that second pic... it looks like CDA-105

I like the way it looks.. might just buy some as well. Gets old changing CDs often when I can just have an MP3 cd or Ipod playing.

OP, curious to know the answers to TORCHD questions as well. I'd like to do a similar install when I get around to it.

I just did mine, and its not any different than using the cheap plastic installation brackets that crutchfield gives you with a headunit.
So yes that is all you would need. I did take sandpaper though and sanded the inside edges of the white plastic bracket so the headunit metal sleeve would fit.
I would not install the headunit without using the metal sleeve it comes with.

Gotcha. I need to do the same thing with mine. My Kenwood sleeve is just a tad too big. No worries.

Thanks for the info man!
