There are several ways to check if an f-body coupe has or had a Monsoon system. The easiest is to look at the hatch trim panels and see if they have speaker grilles - only the Monsoon system had speakers in the hatch area. A more definitive way is to check the option codes on the door label. Camaros would have a UZ7 code for their 8-speaker Monsoon setup regardless of head unit. Firebirds have W54 (cassette) or W55 (CD) for their 10-speaker Monsoon system.
