Default Trying to get my steering wheel contorls back with aftermarket head unit

I have a JVC KD-avx2 head unit in my 2000 SS. I lost my steering wheel contorls. I was wanting to know if the JVC unit can be used to get my steering wheel contorls back, it say it is not applicable for the TA or the Camaro.
If the JVC one does not work, is there something else that I can use.

That model is wired remote compatible so you need to get a SWI-JACK, connect it, and program it.
