Is it possible my hatch released while connecting my battery?
I just finished installing my B&M tranny cooler which was a bitch to get right and when I went to connect the positive terminal, which is always hard to get back on, I'm 95% sure the rear hatch released. I didn't even know the 4th gens came with a electric hatch release which I always thought was wierd since my 3rd gen had it. Is it possible I only need a button to make it work. Thanks.

Accidental discoveries are the best
Electronic trunk release has been in cars since 80s as far back as I can remember.
If you have power windows and doors, you have got to have an electronic trunk release.
Look for a yellow square button by your left under the steering wheel column area.
