The reason your keyfob doesn't open door locks is because there's something wrong with the door lock or something associated with it. It's not the key fob since you can open the trunk with it. The simplest thing to do first 'd be to check the fuses.

Hmm its not something I came across, so its hard to figure out what could be causing it.

Theres a few variables in this issue. I 'd say get electrical connections checked out at a alarm/audio shop or something.

Sorry wasn't much of a help to ya. Its something that has to be checked out in person.

Mine is starting to get to where it wont work unless I'm within 10 feet of the car but its consistent. So I know the battery isnt dying because its been going on like this for a month now. Weak signal or something lose maybe?

Yea, mine did the same thing until it crapped out completely.

Drivers door switch controls the keyless. Could be a bad switch. Mine did that. Did you check the fuses for continuity? Sometimes with fuses they will look fine but wont conduct electricity. I see that with the lower voltage circuits such as most new car lock systems. If you dont have a multimeter just replace the fuse with a new one and se if it fixes it. If not its probably the driverside switch.
