Default Well this was fun...

Ok.. so spent the last 2 weeks dynamatting the WS6... finally got in all the new Fosgate stuff, a P3SD412 in one of KEE's fiberglass boxes, 2 pairs of P1652-S 6.5 In component speakers (doors and rear), a Power T400-4 channel amp, a Punch P300-1. So hooked everything up and bang the 400 goes into protect mode... went over all the connections nothing loose and no screws through anything. Spent a few days debugging and finally settled on the AMP was bad. Sent it back, in the mean time was going to use the 300 just to run the rears while waiting for the 400 to come back and guess what, the 300 goes into protect mode.

Finally figured it out.. the baskets of the rear woofers are being grounded to the car. Dont ask me how, no idea. Either its a bad set of speaker or a poor design. Ran to home depot and go some lexan to act as a mounting bracket. Cut out the hole for the speaker mounted it, then screwed the lexan to car... worked like a champ...

Now to decided to keep them in the front... they dont sound good at all in front... may have to improvise some sort of enclosure for them...

Just need the 400 to come back and should be good to go...
