They are really nice. The components are very similar to the ones I have in my T/A but without the carbon fiber cone. Same voice coils though. The other thing is that most of the CL comps come with 3/4" silk tweeters but these have the 1" silk tweeters and the coaxials have nice silk tweeters on those to.
This model number is not even out and can only be purchased in this package.
If you wanted to run full range sound from the sail panels, this would be a viable option. You could pull the hatch speaker signal to the sails to do this and then run a 10" sub in the hatch. Just one of many options.

These would fit a convertable if you had a spacer in the rear as the rears are a shallow mount speaker so you'd have to push them out a bit to make room behind.
I do have a specific convertable package I started offering a little while ago for $249.00 shipped. You can see it here (third package down): http://www.keeaudio.com/fbodyspeakers.html

Thanks. I looked at the kit for converibles - question and sorry if it's obvious - I see the speakers for the front are components which is good but where/how do the tweeters mount - is there a bracket?

And sorry for hijacking your thread!

Question question

So on a Formula,
would you use the coaxials in the doors with the separate tweeter also?

Or am I missing something?

Thanks,

Brad

Are the sail panel woofers duel voice coils to fit the stock T/A - Monsoon platform?

And will these woofers be a direct fit (stock depth) into the sail panel area or will they need spacer rings?

What is the estimated shipping time to south Alabama?

Thanks,

The door speakers are components BUT they are components that will convert to a coaxial. They are the same ones in the other package but with different rear speakers. Here's a picture so you can get a better idea of how they mount.
http://webhosting.web.com/imagelib/s...et=tlx_pics0bo
The hardware comes with them and installation is very easy. They actually wire up like your stock speakers in that they are coaxially mounted but are wired seperately. Camaro's have coaxial speakers that are wired seperately (tweeter and midbass) which can make it hard to replace correctly if you don't buy the right speakers.
Hope that helps!

The Bazooka subs I have are 6.5" DVC subwoofers and are what I use for my customers in the sail panels in F-bodies when equipped with the Monsoon.
No spacers are needed with the exception of a handful of cars I've ran into very rarely. I was selling them with spacers at first because I thought they were needed but 99% of the cars did not need them at all.
South Alabama should see these in 2 days tops. I'm in Marietta GA. Thanks!!

Hi Brad,
Depends on the door panel in your car. Firebirds with the Monsoon have seperate components...seperate tweeter and midbass. So you would use a component set not the coaxials. The crossovers would not be needed as the Monsoon system already has that in place. The reason I say depends on your door panel is because some earlier 4th gen cars (non LS1, non Monsoon) did not have seperate tweeters and did have coaxials in the doors.
The coaxials are used in either Camaro doors (still wired seperately though) or for rear fill in the sails if you wanted to run the hatch wires to the rear and skip the sail panel subs. This would give you full range sound from the doors and sails. A stealth subwoofer in the rear hatch area could then be used to get your low end bass. This is just one of many options some people have done.

They will work well in your T/A. Special will go for as long as CDT have these in stock and the speakers are limited production. I will tell you that this package is supposed to be $299.00. I have 3 of these in stock ready to go and more on the way. This is a killer deal for some very nice speakers. The CDT amp is normally $499.00 so when ordering that it's like getting the speakers for free!!!

Would this set-up need any modifications to run with a Eclipse CD5000?

This is a set-up for doors and sail panels? A sub is still needed?

Hi, I remember you from the gathering!
For the speakers, they would go right in with no problem. Since the Trans Ams have subs in the sails you would run the signal (speaker wire) from the rear hatch are to the sails to run the coaxials in this package in that location. This would then give you full range sound in the doors and sails. Running it like this would give a more surround effect and a subwoofer could be added to get more low end frequencies and round out the system.
I do also have the coupe packages that have replacements for all the speakers in your car that covers the doors, correct DVC sail panel subwoofers, and rear 4" coaxials all for $279.00 shipped. This would have the 6.5" subwoofers in the sails like stock (but better quality/performance) and would offer some low end bass. Not what a 10" stealth enclosure would produce but for some it is enough.
