Thumbs up Where to mount amp....stealth...

Hello, i just purchased a stealth enclosed 10" sub and amp for it, where do people usually mount the amp? I don't want it visable and I don't want to really drill holes that i will regret. I was thinking in the spare tire area... any ideas?

Mounted my 4 ch exactly there. Just mocked up a piece of wood and bolted it to the spare tire mount and then screwed the amp to it. Can't see with the trim panel back in and worked out great. Unless you will need your spare sometime it's a great place for an amp.

If you not using the factory Monsoon Amp, then remove the amplifier from the factory mounting bracket. Then with some light modification you can mount your NEW subwoofer Amp to it.

Check out the link in my sig...I've got a 4 channel amp mounted in my spare tire and another one mounted behind it. I still have access to my spare if I need it in an emergency. I've got directions on how to do this on my site too...

You can mount it under the front passenger side seat if the Amp isn't very big.

I have mine in plane sight, but, I know many people will put it in the spare tire area, or even by a amp rack, they look nice, I would get one if it would fit with my box

I have mine in the spare tire area just chilling there with some stuff to keep it from bouncing around. And by stuff I mean a few rags I need to get some longer speaker wire and a board, so I can do a legit mount.

Mine is set up using all the factory nut and bolts in the spare tire rear. There two from the bumper cover with the black nuts with washers, and then the amp is slid behind the power antenna and bolted to the bracket off the power antenna. No hole were drill in the car.

hmm Can a Mono amp be mounted in the spare wheel area and still keep the spare tire?

Does anyone have the specs of the dimensions of the monsoon amp?

Monsoon amp: 7.5" wide x 8" deep x 2" tall .
By mounting a piece of 3/8"to 1/2" thick oak plywood to the monsoon amp plastic mount, you can mount up to a 8" x 15" wide Amp in the factory location.
The Amp should be under 2.4" tall also.

Did what Dave00 did from one of my sub amps.

Amp is right behind the sub box.
