Default Installing a touch screen multimedia radio

I want to install a Clarion VX400 6.5 inch touch screen radio in my Trans AM and I was just wondering if that was even possible. I have a shitty Clarion flip out in my car right now which I got for cheap and is causing nothing but problems. Thanks in advance.

Do a search on "double DIN" to find lots of information on this subject. Many people have done this upgrade (myself included). You will need to buy a modified trim bezel or else modify the factory one yourself.

Not to be too critical but there are much better looking double DIN bezels available:

That's an AVIC-D3 which is a model that has been discontinued but is still available some places. I have since replaced it with a Kenwood DNX-5120.

Actually, that bezel was a prototype made by a former member here that was planning to sell them. I have since replaced it with one of 6litereater's vinyl covered ones that I feel looks much better. I still have the prototype in my garage. If you want it, I'll sell it for $60 shipped. The corners of the faceplate opening are not square and if you look closely you can see the curvature on the left side isn't the same as on the right side but otherwise it fits fairly well as you can see.

Firebird and Camaro bezels are completely different. The Firebird bezel just surrounds the head unit and HVAC controls. Camaro bezels go all the way up to the top of the dash including the switch slots (fog lights, ASR, convertible top) and the center vents.
