Default Amp not working.

So about a month and a half ago i took my radio out of the trans am and I just got a new one this week. Went to install it yesterday and what do you know my 500$ cdt amp isnt getting power? Radio turns on and works fine just cant figure out whats wrong with the amp. checked the power cable and made sure the ground was good. What could my problem be?

Hooked up the amp switch wire? (Blue wire. Dumb question, I know) Check on the stereo harness also, make sure the stereo is sending power to the amp to turn it on.

Yeah. Especially when you have to rewire the whole car just for a simple amp add-on.

Test for your 12v+ from the Battery, Ground And Remote turn on 12V+ on the amp. if you have all three check the fuse on the amp.. if all them are good your amp is bad.. most radios the amp turn on is blue/white the blue is the power ant. wire and will only have power in am/fm

I grounded mine to the pass side rear seatbelt point just forward of the rear speaker.... Try jumping your amp power wire with a small piece of wire to your remote spot on the amp to see if it turns on.
