bad ground?
My car was cuttin out at high rpm. as it turns out, my pcm is shutting off at high rpm and turning back on real quick, before my car totally shuts off. so it was acting like it was hitting a rev limiter, but really the pcm was flicking on and off at high rpm. someone told me it was probably a bad ground. he said to diagnose it, add a ground from battery to head, then from the ther head to the chassis. i did this and no chagne. does this sound right? if i had a bad ground would that have fixed it?

my truck is doing something like this. the truck will not pull past 5900 rpms and the rev limiter is set at 7200. i have replaced crank sensor and coils and plugs and wires. i even changed coil wiring and still no help. it is weird that the truck would spin up to red line with no load and once i get traction it will not pull past 5900 rpm. i too have chased down grounds. i did check the tps and it reads 89% at wot and then falls back to 79% with out changing my throttle position . so i replaced the tps with no luck with the problem. i have wracked my brain and the only thing i have left to check is the ecu and the cam sensor. im on here looking for possible solution , so if you figure yours out maybe it will help me out too.
