How does replacing Head Unit affect Alarm?

How does replacing Head Unit affect Alarm? I'm currently using the stock Delco radio with Monsoon. I just bought a new HU with PAC SWI whatever steering controls, Amp, Sub, and speakers so everything is being replaced. I notice there's a theftloc led on my current stereo. Does replacing the HU disable the alarm and/or keyless entry? I don't expect it to, but what handles that?
