Default Question/help with line output converter...

Questions first.

1) will splicing into a speaker change the ohms going to that speaker now that there's 2 paths for the signal ( one the speaker and two the loc ) ??

2) does it matter how many watts the channel is that The loc is taking a signal from ?

Main reason i ask is I took my amp and sub directly from my 01 z and dropped it into my SS and it doesn't sound nearly as loud and doesn't hit nearly as hard.
The ONLY difference is that on my Z I spliced into the monsoon woofer for signal to the loc. This time around I used the rear hatch speaker as everyone said to do that.

I am running a mono amp to a single 10 in a subthump box. Seems to me that the mid woofers in the sails may be getting more power to them from the factory monsoon amp?
