My stereo plan... 98 Trans Am.
1.) Kee Audios premium speaker replacement...
2.) Keeping and using the Monsoon Amp for speakers...
3.) Upgraded Head Unit (My idea is either JVC KD-R900 - although very hard to find in Canada for whatever reasons) or a double din unit.. I like the idea of a DVD. I will need to buy the adapters as mentioned in the MONSOON FAQ, as well as the adapter for steering wheel controls...
4.) Reusing my PIONEER GM X-554 amp to power my existing JL Audio Vantage enclosure with the JL Audio W0 sub I already own.
The power and RCA cables are already installed...
My questions are this:
#1. Am I am going to need a separate remote for the sub?
#2. Will I loose sound quality by going to the latest double din DVD / NAV units then a dedicated audio head unit?
#3. Will the JVC kd-r900 which is rated for 4 ohms - 8 ohms, be able to deal with the 2 ohm speakers? I'm audio inept.
#4. Anything else I should get / need?
