Default Will a 98-02 trans am/camaro radio work in a 93 trans am?

Hi, I was just wondering if the two radios were interchangeable.. I know the 98-02 were different radios with different speakers and speaker locations but I was just wondering if a stock 98-02 radio would clip right into the spot of where a 93 radio should be...?

the original owner of my 93 put a monsoon head unit out of a 02... works fine and looks stock. I believe the mounting holes are the same but the wiring may need some attention

Thanks! Hopefully I can find out how much attention the wires will need before deciding to do a swap....

Firebird to Firebird will be completely plug-and-play - no wiring changes necessary. Bose was only available in Camaros.

I had a 2001 radio in my 95 before I sold it. Other than the bose issues with bi amping the speakers (factory bose HU is non-amplified...I think anyway) it was just fine. The volume would go up two or three clicks for every click I turned it. I think the harnesses are the same from the late 80s till 2002. A non bose should be plug and play, but you'll have to get creative with the mounting.
