Just recently ordered these speakers to replace my stock door speakers and was wondering will these speakers sound better than stock? and will they work with the Monsoon system. The car is a 2001 Trans Am

Just about anything will sound better than stock speakers, and yes, they will work with the stock Monsoon system. In fact, they seem good for it. They claim to be able to handle a good amount of power, but with a mere 1" voice coil, I think they are best off with a stock amplifier like the Monsoon amp.

I agree, they work fine with stock or moderate aftermarket power but do not handle a bunch of power as well as some other CDT models. You will be fine with those.

I guess these are crossovers. Will I need to install the crossovers?

No, I installed mine today. Since the tweeter is powered from the head unit and the woofer is powered fro the amp, there is no signal to split. Just wire them to the existing lines.

For proper sound, you must use the CDT crossover, not the car's tweeter wire. The car's woofer wire is full-range. Why people are actively trying to sabotage their own sound quality by using the car's tweeter signal is beyond me.
