Has anyone flush-mounted tweeters where I surface mounted mine? Just trying to see if this is possible, since I like the way they sound where I placed them (no signs of separation from woofer and tweeter). I would like a cleaner look (which is why I am seeing about flush-mounting them). https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...t-s4300208.jpg https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...t-s4300209.jpg |
mine are a bit closer to the windshield, but they are flush mounted there. I think they look factory. I personally was unimpressed with the sound from that spot though, which could be contributed to the lackluster tweeters (alpine type r) I just replaced the components with boston pro 6e's and left those mounted on the woofer, much like a coax speaker. i like the sound a lot more, but i left the tweeters in the spot where you see them, just not hooked up. http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/P1000989.jpg http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m...8/P1000988.jpg |
I have mine mounted on the door so u can aim them where youd like. I think they sound great |
2 Attachment(s) I decided to try making them fit. And here is the end result..... https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...1&d=1318391272 https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...1&d=1318391272 |
No! Why you just didn't order a set of tweeter pods. |
i mounted mine in the rear panels next to speaker, its closer to your ears |
Mine are mounted like RedRallyeZ's are. They sound good there IMO and they look like factory for the most part. I think what helps is the ring that goes around the tweeter so you don't see the hole where the drill ate away at the pillar. |
