Looking to replace my stock door and sail speakers on my 02 ta I just bought. The sail panel speakers are blown and bestbuy is having a bogo 50% off on alpine speakers.

Thinking about buying these, I read the monsoon faqs and I understand component is a little bit better than coaxial.

I just want a want a good set of speakers and get rid of my stock blown sail panels and replace the door ones while im at it. Will 2 pairs of these suffice Alpine - 6-1/2" 2-Way Coaxial Car Speakers with Poly-Mica Cones (Pair)

Or should i spend the $45 dollars more and get 2 pairs of these Alpine - 6-1/2" 2-Way Component Car Speakers with Poly-Mica Cones (Pair)

sail panel speakers are DVC,I think 4ohm.just any speaker won't work with the Monsoon system. same for the front speakers.

I would just use the same speakers he posted in the forum except for the problem that this is a post in 2003. These partnumbers are no longer valid and I am sure they have been replaced considering I cant find them.

Read the stickies in this section and you will get a lot of good information.

Best Buy or any other brick and any other big box store will not be able to sell you a direct fit for the sail panel speakers. Check out Kee Audio (site sponsor) - he has several different direct-fit options.
