You have to push the button again to turn the car off.
Even if you leave the car with the RFID fob in your pocket, car stays running.

I'm pretty sure the only way you can is by taking it all apart.
The steering whee; and airbad aren't that hard to take off, but I'm ot sure on an F Body how hard it'd be to disable the lock after you tear into it.

I kinda want one of these also.
Now to save up some money..

I seen somewhere there is a kit that contains a solenoid that unlocks the steering wheel when the car is started and will relock when the engine is shutdown.

You are thinking of the mustang keyless. wwwdotmustangkeylessdotcom
That kit uses a servo to unlock the steering wheel. I personally think that kit is a hack job.

I intend for this to be one of my next purchases, and I plan on removing the steering wheel/air bag in order to remove the steering lock. So if I'm the first one to get this and install it (besides emmeny81), then I'll try my best to document the installation process and do a write up.

My only question is, does the VATS absolutely have to be tuned out? I need to take my car to a tuner for other things anyways. Just trying to figure out if I need to take her to a tuner before I install this or not.

My kit should be here in a day or 2. As far as vats I'm keeping it and using a bypass kit. Xtra security can't hurt.

Haven't decided on the wheel lock yet. For now I'm going to shim a key. Before I completely get rid of the ignition I need to be sure this is 100% reliable.

only way to disable VATS with out having the key in there is to have the tuner do it, I'll be really nice to see how you disable the steering wheel, I haven't done it because I believe you need a special tools to pull it.
