Default Headunit set ups

Im debating on getting a Double Din bezel and going that route, but i have also considered going single din. But my main issue with the single din, is that is doesnt usually look clean.

Can anyone post some pics of their single din set ups?

I have an Alpine CDA-117 HU, but no pics at the moment. I'll update later with a HU pic. I have a 3rd gen iPod Nano hooked up in the glove box via a USB extension cable that is flush mounted to look as factory as I could get it. Used a SWI-JACK unit so that the steering wheels are still useable and the HU controls the iPod. I'm happy with the system.

Testing iPod setup with my 4th gen Touch...

Updated pics...

Single dins look nice and clean imo, here's my old Camaro with Alpine CDA-forgot.....

Used to have a Pioneer DEH-P6800MP but car was broken into, really missed that head unit, but imo Alpine is the best.

i am having this same issue man, i hate the single din look on fbodys and the double din is alright but i just love the factory look. i really want to do an ipod hookup for it but $125 just bugs me. Trying to make the decision as well.

To be honest, I don't know lol. Best Buy (yes Best Buy lol) installed it for me years ago, they had the installation kits for all cars, it was 20 bucks or something. I'm getting another Alpine in a few weeks and installing it myself this time, getting the kit off eBay.

^ Imo that's too much going on, I prefer the all clean look of the kit, our plaque's already say Camaro or Camaro SS (like mine).

Im wanting to go ahead and get the double din bezel, but idk if i can wait a month+ just to get it... i might hit up a junk yard and grab a stock bezel and try to follow the write up on making the double din bezel, because i have pioneer navi head unit i picked up recently.

A double din does look killer if done right, that's what I really want to do.

In my C5 I switched the head unit spot and the ac controls spot and am running an Alpine 9886 in the ac control spot, it looks great, I don't have a pic and the car is in storage still

Chaman's T/A looks awesome with that single din and dash kit

But that plain dash kit from best buy that was referenced to was either a Metra or PAC kit most likely

Ain't gonna lie, I'm starting to like the HUmount. Do you guys think the LED illumination is tacky?
